New York Attorney General Charged With Federal Financial Fraud Indictment
A national judicial panel has charged Letitia James for bank fraud on Thursday, per an informed source.
The US attorney for the eastern district of Virginia personally presented the charges to the grand jury this Thursday, the person said.
Federal prosecutors do not typically appear before such panels.
Halligan was installed the position last month after Donald Trump grew impatient over the speed in ongoing probes against his rivals.
This action marks a recent strategy to leverage the DOJ to penalize political rivals.
It follows 14 days following Halligan obtained indictments involving Comey.
Experienced attorneys wrote a document in that case explaining the reasons charges lacked merit.
Comey denied the charges this past Wednesday.
