Paramount Skydance Set to Eliminate Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to start mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 American roles as part of a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

The layoffs follow the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are expected, as the firm planning to reveal full details during its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports stated that Paramount planned to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.

Until December 2024, the organization employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 temporary project employees.

The company did not immediately respond regarding the report.
